The Fountain
Date undefinedWasn't a big fan of the movie, but the soundtrack is great on its own. I bought the album as a gift for my girlfriend and I think I listen to it more than her. I'm definitely a Clint Mansell fan. The songs are just as good in different ways as those in Requiem for a Dream and somewhat longer, but as a whole, the album still feels short. I paid too much for shipping, because I wanted to get it before Christmas. Although I don't regret it, I wouldn't pay $25 for the album again.

Date undefinedI have to confess, I did not like the film. It was bizarre, slow, confusing, and painfully artsy. But even while watching THE FOUNTAIN and being annoyed with it, I was captivated by the music.
Now I have the soundtrack CD and just listening to it even the first time through it is absolutely mesmerizing. One of the very best soundtracks I own, second only to Brian Tyler's CHILDREN OF DUNE.

Date undefinedThe Fountain original soundtrack is awesome! Without a doubt, I say this has to be one of the best soundtracks ever made for a movie. "Together We Will Live Forever" is one of my favorites, very nice melody with the piano, which plays during the movie credits. It'll either make you happy or sad (or both?). "Death is the Road to Awe" is also my other favorite. Nice quiet melody in the beginning that gradually picks up and gets louder. Overall, the entire album is great! Highly recommend to anyone that likes soundtracks and/or instrumental music! You won't be disappointed!
