I bought this for my 6 year old son. He can read most words but the font and many of the words are too hard for him. I knew that though when I bought it. He loves reading the parts he can and he sits for hours just looking at the pictures and using his imagination. I look forward to him enjoying this book for many years. It is always something new and fun when he picks it up.
It began with a mysterious correspondence left for the authors from three siblings who told of a great-uncle's connection to magical worlds - and his eyewitness accounts of another world. This visual guide to the Spiderwick legend features over thirty drawings of fairies and offers an in-depth focus on both old and new creatures in a delightful blend of picture and text highly recommended for any Spiderwick Chronicle readers.
