Most of the reviews on this book are postive. If you are a diehard fan of Ms Jackson buy this book, if you like a touch of realism in your romances then borrow this book. I find that more and more I am of the latter type of reader. The sex scenes are great, Ms Jackson can do no wrong on that score but I found the plot line hard to swallow. A 25 year old professional asset manager, decides she wants a baby but not a husband. Ok if she was 35 or even 45 I can go with that but 25?! Taylor Steele first cousin of the Steele brothers decides to ask one of her very wealthy clients to father her child at an all expenses paid baby making vacation. The client Dominic Saxon , biracial millionaire (him being mega rich was a very important detail for Taylor) accepts. After that despite enjoying some of the story this unrealisic aspect kept bugging me. If Taylor was working class, not very educated and came up with the same plot she would be potrayed as a fickle woman who wanted a rich baby daddy, but cos she has money herself then her behaviour is considered acceptable? Ooookkkkk. Also as per usual with Ms Jacksons work everyone, well the heroine does, falls in love in one week, alright I know this is fantasy and fiction but pleeease this is too much! Maybe I need to back away from these fairy story type books or a while. LOL
Tayor knew what she wanted a baby, not a husband she had a good family, wonderful job but didn't think she needed a husband but did need a man. Well Dominic was the perfect choice, he was fine, educated, and sexy as hell. There is a saying "God laughs at man who make plans" well watching Taylor and Dominic were two pees in pond, both were stuburn, and loved family and didn't want to admit what we saw coming. I was happy at how Brenda Jackson made me root for this couple. It was really good read.
HOT and steamy! "Irresistible Forces" cannot be reckoned with. Ms. Jackson introduces us to yet another Steele -- this time, Taylor Steele. When Taylor sets her mind to something, she goes after it and gets it done. This time, financial analyst, Taylor wants a baby. She knows just who she wants to father her baby -- her client, Dominic Saxon. Dominic is savvy, wealthy, handsome all rolled into one.
Will Dominic agree to Taylor's plan of fathering her child, then forgetting about Taylor. None beknown to Taylor that Dominic has also been thinking about Taylor, but not as his business financial manager. Dominic has seen Taylor as the woman she is -- beautiful, smart, and most of all -- desirable. When Taylor lays out her plan for motherhood and that it includes Dominic, he is not at all displeased. As a matter of fact he is well pleased with the idea and Taylor's plan is not all that she has laid out. Neither one count on their feelings for each growing into more than a week long fling. However, love sets no limits and the heart knows no boundaries or guidelines.
After their week long affair on the island, neither are eager to get back to their normal lives. Taylor and Dominic go to their respective homes, but both have left their hearts on the island. With the promise to contact Dominic when it is time to find out if she is indeed pregnant, Taylor phones Dominic and he agrees to come over. However, Dominic has been eagerly awaiting the call -- not just to know that he will become a father, but to also see Taylor again -- the woman who has somehow embedded herself deeply within his heart.
There are some forces to be reckoned with and the love that abounds between Taylor and Dominic is one of those forces. Their love for one another and their desire to be together again become irresistible forces.
Ms. Jackson has given us another great book. It not only reunites us with the Steele family, but also gives us a hint as to what is in store for Cheyenne Steele. Is it possible that Ms. Jackson will unite Cheyenne with Quade Westmoreland? Quade met a young woman on the beach and they had one night together. Cheyenne told Taylor that she met the father of her unborn child on the beach one night. Uhm! Sounds like a good match to me.
