Ragga Nacion - Superstars of Reggaeton, Reggae and Rap

Good Party package, nice variety. It is a very nice compilation, and covers the gambit of reggae rap tastes both in Spanish and English. I do not regret buying it, play the CD in my car, my friends like it, and there are several "MTV" quality videos in this package, as well as videos that have in fact been on MTV! Has some old tunes, but they are the original tunes, no remakes, which was kinda nice to have. If you want to hear the songs, and see some video go to http://www.raggaforce.com/RaggaNacion.html. Then order from Amazon. It is that simple. No guessing, no problems.

Seven of the reviews I read made sense, and one did not. What does "Old School" mean? This product contains an assortment of Reggaeton, Reggae, Dancehall, and Rap. It has various Artists in English and Spanish, some very well know "original hits", several new tunes (which I thought were very good), and a bonus DVD with some old videos, new videos, well known videos, videos not so well known, some with gorgeous ladies, some without. It is most certainly worth $14.50, which is the cost of a CD, and you get a bunch of songs on the CD, plus a bunch of videos on the DVD. If you want only Puerto Rican Reggaeton, although this has 2 new tracks from Nico Canada, and a track from Big Boy, as well as several tracks produced by Puerto Rican Producers, then perhaps you should not buy this. If you want a variety of music from Jamaica- General Degree, Admiral Bailey, Panama- Renato, Gaby, Jan and Supposee, Reggae Sam, and others, as well as Puerto Rico, then this is a very good product. I gave it 5 stars because of the one very unfair review. Under normal circumstances I would give it 4 stars. Not the best, not the worst, just a nice product to watch or listen to, when you are in the mood.

If Nina knew anything about "old school" she would know perfectly well that several of the songs in this package started the entire "Reggaeton" movement. General Degree's song is not "old school" it is cutting edge. The America Video received a Billboard Music Video Awards Nomination, the video by Reggae Sam was an "MTV International" pick of the week. Nico Canada is a well known Puerto Rican rapper, and the T-Quest video is "MTV Quality." Some of the videos are dated, some are brand new, and there is definitely something for everyone as reflected by other reviewers. The song "You Got Me" is on all the Record Pool Charts, and the song Meneaito was a worldwide hit! There is a Meneaito remix, original and video. In addition the song El Marciano was a worldwide hit! If Nina likes strictly Puerto Rican Artists, she should just say so, instead of doing a disservice by saying this product sucks. Her review sucks. Is this the best product out there- No, but it is certainly better than alot of the product I have seen and listened to. 19 Well known songs, many which were hits, plus 19 music videos, for $14.50 is a good value in anyones book. Nina is entitled to her opinion, but it is only one opinion out of many. It is exactly what they describe it as, and if you do not recognize any of the songs or Artists, you have no business buying it in the first place. Nina knew exactly what she was buying- all the songs, and videos are listed, as well as the Artists.
