I love this album. Something about it evokes a wide spectrum of emotions for me. From wanting to party my face off (Cadillac Pussy, Feel Like Makin' Love, Son of Detroit) to feeling the emptiness of lost love (Cold and Empty, Hard Night for Sarah, Single Fathter), and everything in between. The track "Rock 'n' Roll" just makes me want to give in to every naughty temptation and do things that good girls aren't supposed to do.
This is a very American album, as another reviewer put it. Kid Rock seems to appreciate all genres of truly American styles, and is the only artist to successfully unite these sounds. His other albums, Devil Without a Cause, Cocky, and Rock and Roll Jesus, are also fantastic albums. I have enjoyed Kid Rock's evolution through these albums. But there is something extra special about this album.
