PDA's have taken over as quick pocket references, but I still use this booklet frequently enough to make it worth buying. There are IV drips on the back pages that many never noticed were there, elimination abbreviations ( explanation in first few pages of booklet:L=liver, K=kidney, and L+O= liver and onions (chek it out! I love this diddle!)) Worth the price or freebie from a drug rep. Make SURE U are using the most RECENT year, not an old one, as changes are so frequent in medicine!
I've been a practicing internist for more than 10 years. Although much of my practice and reference materials are on computer, nothing can take the place of my Tarascon Pharmacopoeia. It is an absolute must for not only medical students and residents, but all those in primary care. I call it my "drug brain" and I feel lost without it.
