A few years back I purchased I SPY, Box Set #1, Box Set #2, and Box Set #3. I have watched and enjoyed these episodes for the last few years. I'm a bit confused by these boxes on Amazon for Season One, Season Two, etc. My 'box' says "Box Set #1" where this newer says "Season 1", other than that my box looks identical to the one here at Amazon.
Below are the shows listed on my Box Set # 1:
Disc 1
Affair In T'sien Cha
Carry Me Back To Old Tsing Tao
Danny Was A Million Laughs
A Cup of Kindness
Disc 2
Chrysanthemum
Dragon's Teeth
No Exchange On Damaged Merchandise
A Time Of The Knife
Disc 3
Weight Of The World
Tigers Of Heaven
Three hours On A Sunday Night
Always Say Goodbye
Disc 4
The Barter
Turkish Delight
Return To Glory
The Conquest of Maude Murdock
Disc 5
A Day Called 4 Jaguar
One Thousand Fine
Grusade To Limbo
My Mother The Spy
Disc 6
There Was A Little Girl
It's All Done With Mirrors
Sparrowhawk
Lori
Disc 7
Lisa
Trial By Treehouse
So Coldly Sweet
Will The Real Good Guys Please Stand Up
These 3 boxed sets of mine were issued by Image in year 2000 and encompass the years 1965 through 1968. Up until now thought I had all there was to get, at any rate, I'll stick with these as the color and repro is both sharp and clear.
Semper Fi.
It's great to watch this show again after so many years. Many of the other shows from the era slid into silliness, but I Spy was a class act. These transfers are not too bad. They are a bit dirty, particularly the (excellent) opening graphics. So, essentially, this isn't quite on par with the transfer of The Invaders for instance. Shadow areas are also a bit crushed. Overall the presentation is nice and is quite pleasant upconverted. The price is what hooked me into buying the first season. No regrets, but I would have paid extra for a real remaster.
