Date undefinedThe word BRILLIANT keeps sticking to Steven Wright and to this album, and with good reason. The master of absolute deadpan delivery, Wright is also the heir of one-liner comics of days gone by, from Henny Youngman to Milton Berle to Steve Allen. In one short sentence he can set you up and then completely blindside you, leaving you wondering what just happened and why you're lying on the floor, laughing until you gasp for air. Who knew you could get so much life out of a gag like: "The other day I was--no, wait, that wasn't me." Steven Wright is the last of a rare breed, and it's too bad he's been largely media-shy through his career, because he is definitely worth multiple listens.

When you add him to your comedy CD collection, you can be sure that you will have a CD that is different from other stand-up routines. If you are looking for one of his CDs, because you already love his work, than you will not be disappointed with this one. It is the classic genius of Steven Wright.
