Not sure everyone would appreciate or even get the humor this movie presents. But, if you are a music fan from the 50's, 60's and 70's you will enjoy the parody. And to top it off the music is very good. I even purchased the soundtrack CD and seeing it. Recommend.
This is the soundtrack to a movie that I enjoyed a lot. The film is a satire of musical biopics like Walk the Line and Ray. The songs are funny, and in various styles, charting the changes in musical styles through the years. The most obvious influence is Johnny Cash, but there are also songs in the style of Bob Dylan, SMILE era Beach Boys and others. See the movie first, then if you enjoy the music, buy the soundtrack.
