Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Book 1)
Date undefinedThis book reminded me a Danille Steel novel with a dash of fantasy thrown in it. The victimized "Omega" was difficult to relate to or understand. She doesn't really shine till the end of the book when it's really too late to do so. The "Beowolf" tale should have been explored, it would have made the novel a richer story.
I have loved Patrica Briggs other novels,lets hope "Cry Wolf" was just a bump in the road.

Date undefinedI have been looking for a new author to read as I'm getting a bit done with Laurell K Hamilton. This is the first book I've read by this author and I know nothing about her.
I really enjoyed this version of a werewolf story. I found many of the concepts the same as other wolf stories I've read but the world it's set in is different in interesting ways.
It was interesting in how it presented the old topic of "what is truly good and what is truly evil?" I enjoyed the varying degrees of grey in this area that the book presented.
I got the novel yesterday and sat down after work with it. I finished it two hours past my bedtime. Its rare that I read a book in one sitting like that but the story held my attention. I couldn't wait to find out what happens next and I enjoyed some surprises at the end.
I'm re-reading it today on my lunch. I checked out this book based upon the reviews here and I'm so glad that I did. I might just have a new series to collect! Is there a book #2??
