Just a word to the guy below, "if you don't know what's on it, it indicates that you've never heard it, so you couldn't review it anyway, could you?"
I turns out that the entire "Rapmasters" series is a great way to introduce yourself to Rap music and realize that "Gangsta" rap is just a small segment of a large art form and unfortunately is the area that receives most of the publicity, mostly bad.
This is a good sampleing of "Hard Rock" style rap made famous by Run D.M.C, Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy. All these artists are represented on the disc along with Sir Mix-A-Lot who includes an incredible version of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man".
This whole series which includes at least 11 volumes devotes one CD to each style as well as "old school","Gangsta", and pioneers such as "Grandmaster Flash" and the "Sugar Hill GAng".
For those of you who HATE rap, this might change your mind by introducing the many styles that don't get to much airplay and shows us an art that is far more optimistic and wide rangeing than how it its usually potrayed.
