Frasier - The Complete First Season

The history of television is littered with spin offs which are mostly forgotten and usually for good reason. But once in awhile a gem somehow managed to sneak through, and Fraiser is one of them.

Based on the psychiatrist from Cheers who moves onto Seattle, Fraiser is well written, sharp and funny. Each charatctor was special and the relationships and interactions between each set of characters was unique, Fraiser with Niles, Fraiser and Niles with their father and of course everyone trying to deal with the Crane brothers - the down to earth normalcy of their Dad, Roz and Daphne worked in great juxtaposition to the more high brow Niles and Fraiser.

One of the best sitcoms that has graced the ariwaves and one I miss the most though the DVD brings back the laughter.

This is where the sophisticated series gets started. It isn't quite at its best by this point, but the material is very funny indeed. Strongly recommended.
